Immigrant petition was filed only for me. However, AoS has been filed for the entire family. So in my opinion the answers to three questions sholuld be 1 - No, 2- No, 3- Yes.- Would that be Correct?
Since the primary applicant of form I-539 is my wife, i wasn't sure if there should be a mention of my immigrant petition when describing the circumstances on a separate sheet of paper. Should I add receipt number of form I-485 or attach a copy of the form as support documents?

Hi
My sch-A appln. I-140 was approved on Oct-30.
I also got LUDs on I-485s of me and my family on Oct-31.
Does that suggest anything or it is just routine update after I-140 apporval?
Your experienced input will help.

It's not easy to get a J-1 waiver, but with recent changes in the rule, by the time you finish your residency it will be easier. Its easy to get waiver in family practice or psychiatry. Its harder for Internal Medicine/pediatrics/Surgery and fellowships (except Geriatrics)
1) You can get a J-1 visa, but your husbands 140 has nothing to do with this. However, on the positive side, if by the time you complete your residency and donot have a J-1 waiver job and your husband is still maintaining his H-1B or has a GC, you can stay in the US and look for job, but not work. So it gives you more time to find waiver job.
From personal experience, it would be better to go home for two years, while your husband stays here and then you come back as GC and start your practice. But thats for later.
2) You cannot file 485 for your self till waiver is done if you take J-1. If you can wait for a couple of years for the GC (likely soon after retrogression is resolved) and then start residency, then you probably could just start on GC. But its a hard decision, as you dont know if you will get residency after this time or retrogression will resolve soon.
Its frustrating I understand.

By law, you need to notify change of address within 10 days of your move.

Sorry to know about your layoff. What I would suggest is try to get a Consulting company ( maybe desi ) to transfer your H1. That would give you some leeway to find a project again.

Just consulted a lawyer and he gave me following solution:

Contacted murthy and rajiv kanna but they declined . Is there any lawyer who handles student deportation cases . Please advise .

I want to purchase an house in Washington DC/MD/VA. My office is close to Rockville. Please recommend the best place to buy an house based on the following criteria.
1> Very good school district
2> Low property tax
3> Very low crime rate
4> Rental value should be same as mortgage amount+insurance+PMI+property tax
5> Property values should be in 300K range max
6> Lot of Indians
9> Maximum distance to DC should not exceed 30 miles
10> Close to shopping places
Dont look at VA - commute to MD will be killing.
DC is expensive.

Report indicates that Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Rep. Nydia Velasquez (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) will meet with President Barack Obama this afternoon to talk about the chances of getting comprehensive immigration reform or the DREAM Act passed in the lame duck session, signaling the Democrats, Hispanics, and Obama turning their posture in CIR or DREAM from "defensive" to "offensive" strategy, by going forward with the all-court pressing DREAM or CIR during the Lame Duck session. For this apparent strategy, time is indeed short and running out. There was also report that the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) could bring the DREAM Act to the floor as early as this week. This strategy will push and corner Republicans to the "defensive" position in connection with the 2012 Presidential and another national election. For this matter, the Democrats have nothing to lose by pushing for DREAM or CIR during this Lame Duck session while they are in a majority position. Failure to pass the DREAM Act during the Lame Duck session will be placed on the Republicans, which are likely to bring about some Republican casualties and political liabilities in 2012 election. From the perspecitives of the DREAM activists, this is indeed considered a last chance and they are taking an aggressive position to take advantage of such political strategy of the Democrats. I disagree with fee reduction. In fact I believe they should increase it and give poorer service as they always did.
AND visa/EAD terms should be reduced to 3-6 six months so that people renew more often.
Also how abt increasing the SS deductions on H1B/L1 guys? They dont need to give that back anyways. Most people even if they get GC/CITIZENSHIP will not live for more than 67?
In fact above idea will bring US out of recession.

With all due respect, I would like to point out that visas to dependents may not be the issue. The report includes all pending I-485 cases. It does not differentiate between principal applicants and derivative-dependents.
The problem must be elsewhere. Possibly, they may not have released complete and accurate figures, though I would hate to believe that. For a governmental agency that is answerable to Congress, it will be difficult for them to obfuscate beyond a point.
You are right on the 245 (i) issue. I do know a friend whose wife and child went to the consulate when their PDs became current. Since it was consular processing, it was not a case of I-485....they use some other form DS1030 or some such form.
That said, hang in there. Enjoy life while in the queue.

Unfortunately many of the IV members think Senior Member is a Core IV member, hence they tend to give importance to post submitted by Senior Members. Large audience over here may not be aware that ....

Member ==> No of Posts between 25 to 100
Senior Member ==> No of Posts>100
IV doest evaluate posts of members or give more or less importance to quantity or quality of posts.
The software we use for forums (Joomla) is preconfigured to make a person "Senior member" when he/she posts 100 messages.
IV core group or leadership doesnt have any interest in rating the quantity or quality of any posts from any members.

I did my three years diploma (polytechnic) and three years engineering degree (B.E.) after that and I had @ eight years of experience while I had applied for GC through EB2 category. I had no problem in getting my I-140 approval; so far I have not received single rfe.

1. First I 94 was taken at the airport and got the new one while we came back and one of the requirement is the copy of I 94
How and where can I get a copy (I never made a copy of that).
Note: Spouse passport has stamping but the requirement is copy of I 94
any help or suggestoins where can we get a copy. We have applied for states Id's in two different states where they made copies of I 94 but at that time I never though of making copies of it.

Other than that you need:

How long did it take for your MTR process from the time you submitted till the time your attorney received the I485 re-opening letter?
Specifically, how long after sending MTR did you get the receipt notice that MTR was receive and how many days after that did the letter to reopen arrive?
I have an d MTR in the works in TX service center and trying to find how long they are taking these days.

at first glance it seems 245(i) is kicking in real hard.
