Who the hell are we to judge?
Who said we have to live til 105 years old?
I have met crazier "normal" people who weren't even on drugs!
Exactly! He is doing what he wants. Why does he have to do what other people want?
Also, the more we talk about him, the more he wins. If people continue to talk about him, he will just keep winning. There really is not anything else to discuss, but the media seems to enjoy rehashing his choices for some reason.
Congrats on the win, Charlie.

As we sailed out of Miami, we spotted this gorgeous home. It's still under construction. Wonder what it'll look like when it's done?!?

This is a ridiculous assessment, based on nothing. Apple now has three growth businesses from which to build, and potentially a fourth. Hardly a company on earth would not envy Apple's potential.
Based on the verdict of the markets it would seem that Apple's potential is not so great...but you know better than that right ;)

The theoretical never actually happen though. That's why I'd take a superior network standard with a lower frequency, and thus better building penetration, any day.
Well AT&T is rolling out LTE as well so it's really the best of both worlds.

let us know how it goes
I've started with <./fah6 -bigadv -smp 16 -local> after getting rid of the unit it was working on, it is finally using all 16 cores now, had only been using 8. It doesn't look like it's doing anything more strenuous.

I wonder why they've moved it to a later date?
Because that customer's service has been suspended due to non-pay. Trust me a customer care rep does not get this info... They are going off of what they hear in the media. Let's say the phone is coming out in the fall, Apple and all other companies have to wait for official announcement to give out info. That was some reps personal opinion...

I don't see how this is going to work... How are they going to keep the same battery life in this form factor? At this price point, or are they going to increase the prices? I'm not going to go back to my 3GS battery life.

I'm with KookAid, I find that the Inspector is far more time consuming than a well laid out Icon Bar with drop boxes. Maybe it's because I've been using Microsoft Office forever. But I have given Pages a serious try and I find that I really like it, except for it's lacking AutoCorrection and Inspector.
Toolbars and drop down menus are the things Microsoft have DROPPED from Office 2007.

You know, that's a good idea.
Here I was so caught up in the idea of getting it to be a final version, I didn't even think of that. Let the machines that are designed to do this do the work....
(I'm not even going to dignify the other snide poster with a response  )
I'm sorry if my comment came off as being snide.
But it really bothers me when people post how wonderful an app is and how useful it is and how it completely replaces a much more expensive app. When in reality it is only a simple consumer level product.
Others read this forum and buy Pages thinking that they can eliminate the use of Word. Then they find out that it really isn't that compatible with Word files. If you email a windows user a .doc file exported from pages, 7 times out of 10 they have problems with it.
Most pro printshops, publishers, law firms etc. only except word .doc files. Almost all law firms require a revision history. Collaboration tools are useally also required. Word handles this expertly. Plus it has table of contents tools, book publishing tools, bibliography tools, direct faxing, multitudes of custom templates, VB programing hooks, etc. etc. None of this has an equivalent in Pages.
I'm glad you found a solution to your problem and I am glad that Pages satisfies your needs for word processing. Maybe someday it will move out of the "consumer" ranks and into the "Pro" ranks when more functionality is added. Apple seems to know the niche that they are addressing very well.

I don't think Apple can continuously afford to do that though. Everyone can see that Android is making a stand and a strong one at that. Improving market share more than others still while some are even declining.
Let's be clear... "Android" is an OS from Google that you can find on dozens of phones from many manufacturers.
Apple knows they can't compete with that. And they're not. Marketshare is not a goal. For instance... Android has more marketshare... now what?
It's Mac vs Windows all over again. Windows is crushing Macs 10 to 1. Dell and HP have sales that dwarf the Mac. But is Apple really in trouble with the Mac?
Apple sells phones... and quite a lot of them. 18 million iPhones last quarter... and 16 million in the previous quarter. Any other manufacturer would kill for those numbers.
If iPhone sales drop to ZERO... then we can talk about Apple rethinking their strategy. Until then... Apple will continue to sell hundreds of thousands of phones every day... further positioning themselves away from bankruptcy.

OR another reason: Apple decided to go verizon exclusive and ATT is shunned.
If I wasn't a shareholder, I'd enjoy watching what would happen if this far fetched idea occurred. I know that it would certainly prove interesting.

It will suck like all Microsoft products except for the MS Mouse that is good.
MS Natural Keyboard is also good.
How come pretty much everthing Apple makes is good except for the Mouse
Apple mouse is beautiful and using one is not very stressful for your hand. Scroll ball in the Mighty Mouse is the best I've used and there's no comparison.
The only bad Apple mice were the hockey pucks.

And this is exactly why we will know in advance the arrival of the iPhone. If the FCC must approve it, someone will find the filling online a month before its release.
As for the mouse itself, I reiterate that the Mighty Mouse is a crippled piece of hardware. My Kensington wireless studio mouse has served me well for the past two years. What is Apple's problem with making hard-to-use mice then supposedly "innovating" them into seemingly MORE unbearable creatures?!
I'd like a simple two-button mouse with a simple scroll wheel. Is that so much to ask, Apple?
